Entrepreneurs managing small-scale industries are required to carry out varied managerial functions involved for smooth operation of their units. MSME Development Institute (MSME-DI), regularly conducts different Management Development Programmers to cater to the needs of existing and new entrepreneurs. Under Management Development Programmers (MDPs) training is imparted to the prospective new & existing entrepreneurs, their managers, supervisory staff and even their skilled staff to enabling them to upgrade their knowledge & managerial skill in various aspects of management viz. -

• Project Management,
• Financial Management,
• Production Management,
• Quality Management,
• Marketing Management,
• Export Management,
• Personnel Management,
• Material Management,
• Inventory Control Management,
• Value Added Tax,
• Computer Accountants etc

These trainings are conducted either in the premises of MSME Development Institute or at District Headquarters or at any suitable place where good number of entrepreneurs are available for imparting Management training. The period of these training varies from one week to two weeks and on full / part time basis according to the convenience of the entrepreneurs. A nominal training fee is charged with 50% fee concession to SC/ST candidates.
Persons who are interested in starting their own enterprise, or those who are already running their enterprises, or who are working in enterprises and want to upgrade their managerial skill can join these trainings regardless of their age and education.
During the year 2005-06 this Institute has planned to conduct about 20 Management Development Programmes.
